CULTURAL MEDIATION PROJECT WITH ÖKO-MS MÄDER

In December 2023, we were able to work with pupils from ÖKO-Mittelschule Mäder in 3 varied workshops on the topics of light and color, space and optical illusion.

In the first workshop at the school, the young people learned a lot about James Turrell and experimented with cultural mediator Christa Bohle on the topics of light refraction and optical illusion.

A week later, after an adventurous journey in wild snow flurries, the pupils experienced the Skyspace-Lech. After visiting the light room on the mountain, they were able to enjoy a snack and warm up at the Hotel Mohnenfluh before setting off on their journey back home. A big thank you goes to the Muxel family and the cab company Der Lecher!

At the final workshop at the school, the young people processed what they had experienced, experimented on the topic of "light and shadow" and produced various (light) objects for the classroom together.

The project was supported by Double Check. Network for Culture and Education in Vorarlberg.
